I advocate states rights. Example: If Arizona is dealing with crime and social issues due to increased illegal immigration and the citizens and law enforcement have first hand knowledge on how to curb this problem. I say the US Govt needs to take a pro-active approach to support Arizona and it's citizens and not impede their efforts. Same thing could be said for Capitol Punishment. Instead we have a Justice Department headed by Eric Holder who stands in the way and challenges states efforts to carry out sentences of convicted killers. It's lawyering to death issues like what drugs can be used, where they were bought, permits have to be obtained and the Justice Department drags it's feet then the the shelf life on the drugs expire and the whole process starts over. It becomes very frustrating for states to deal with a uncooperative Justice Department that obviously is doing every thing it can to abolish the death penalty. Our Govt needs to support states rights and as long as the states policies are not discriminatory in nature.
