Hi Lee, we've discussed this together before but in light of the Repub's needing to get an alternative together I thought I'd refresh my idea. First, acknowledge that government rarely does anything that is easy and clean. It tries to be all things to all people that is not possible with a good outcome. Second, create a congressional oversight committee for reform using private and public talent. Third, create a "brain trust" from the brightest bunch and nominate talent from synergistic fields; insurance, actuary, hospital, doctor, government, economics, employee benefits broker, small business, big business. Fourth, create a level playing field so nobody is competing. We must pool our resources. 5th, create a number of these teams regionally because regional dynamics/demographics/needs vary so much. 6th, create a project timeline with benchmark goals over the next 3 years. Here is where congressional oversight is necessary; keep it moving and clean. No agenda's other than quality, affordable health care. Don't let politicians spoil the project. They should stay out of it. 7th, create a website clearing house for information from the regions where ideas, concerns, challengers can be shared. Make a moble app to help. 8th, call me for more info.
